Children from year 3 in school who belong to our church receive some instruction if their parents agree they should receive communion regularly.\u00a0 Those who wish to play a full part in the life of the church are invited to be prepared for confirmation*<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Morning Prayer\u00a0<\/strong>is a very old and traditional service of the church with hymns and psalms and prayers. \u00a0The bible is also read and explained in the sermon.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>\u2018All Age Worship\u2019<\/strong> is a chance for children and grown ups to pray together. \u00a0There are activities for everyone to take part in to help us understand the bible. \u00a0Alongside older hymns are lively simple songs. \u00a0It is a very informal time when we can enjoy being together. \u00a0 Baptisms sometimes take place in this service.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Refreshments are served after every service, a good time to catch up and have a chat.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sunday Club<\/strong> meets in the Hall to the rear of the church on second, third and fourth Sunday&#8217;s in the month. \u00a0On second and fourth Sundays, children join with the congregation in church for the final part of the service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>*Baptisms otherwise known as Christenings\u00a0<\/strong>take place by arrangement either during Sunday worship or on the second Sunday of the month at 1.30pm or 2.30pm. \u00a0If you want your family to know Jesus personally and to be part of his church, then baptism is a good idea.\u00a0Please contact the vicar if you would like to explore this possibility.\u00a0 You will be invited to come along to church for a Sunday service to make the arrangements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>*Confirmation\u00a0<\/strong>is the ceremony when the bishop lays his hands on and prays for those who want to take their baptism seriously in adult life. \u00a0It happens to those over the age of 11 years and after preparation. \u00a0People who wish to be Godparents should be both baptised and confirmed.
