Christmas is the time when we celebrate God with us, God becoming a human being in the form of the baby Jesus. Come and join us for traditional carols and music as we remember the what happened at Bethlehem over 2000 years ago which can make a huge difference to every life lived today.
Sunday December 1st
6.00pm Christingle Service. Oranges representing the planet with a candle indicating Jesus, the light of the world wrapped in red tape to signify his blood shed in love for the world are distributed and lit in a moving service of worship for all ages. Seasonal refreshments to follow.
Sunday December 22nd
6.00pm Carol Service. The Choir will lead the singing of favorite carols interspersed with readings. They will also sing a number of pieces of Christmas music. Seasonal refreshments to follow.
Christmas Eve
6.00pm Crib Service. The children will perform a simple nativity play and we will again enjoy singing carols and dressing the crib.
10.00pm ‘Midnight Mass’. This is the first communion of Christmas starting as clocks strike midnight in Bethlehem. Carols and a short explanation of this special celebration and its significance.
Christmas Day
10.00am Family Communion with Carols. This is a short service for all ages. Do bring a present you have unwrapped to share with us.
