St Margaret’s Church Choir leads the sung worship each week at the 9.30am Sunday Service.
It is a traditional robed mixed choir singing in four parts: Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Base (SATB). A wide range of choral music from the 16th Century to the present day is used to enhance worship. Extra items are rehearsed for the Christian Festivals. The Service of Lessons and Carols is eagerly anticipated each year. The choir also occasionally sings ‘Evensong’.
While not able to sing together during periods of the Covid pandemic, many virtual recordings were made. These resulted in a CD being produced: ‘Anthems from Advent to Easter’. Copies are available for £5.00. Please use the contacts page to request a copy.
